Unarmed Private Security

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE

Goodwill Unarmed Private Security courses are approved by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET). In Phases I and II, the student will learn the duties performed by unarmed private security guards, including writing field notes, responding to emergencies and observation skills. They will also learn to interpret legal powers, discuss patrolling techniques, practice public relations. The course also provides documentation tips and investigative procedures.

STUDENTS MUST COMPLETE PHASES I & II TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TEST FOR CLEET UNARMED SECURITY GUARD LICENSURE.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Clean Drug Screen
• 7th Grade reading comprehension level
• Clear criminal background

COURSE LENGTH

Course length is 2 consecutive weeks, Monday through Friday. A certificate is issued for successful completion of the courses.
